This second web site is a wonderful idea. I look forward to visiting it often. May the Lord bless you in all your missionary efforts. Your web site has allowed us to become a part of the CTM experience. Thank You
Sister de Paula: I noticed this morning that you had started a new web site allowing you to post additional pictures. I posted a quick thank you using just about all of my Portuguese. Having spoken Swedish for as long as I can remember and studying Spanish for 12 years in school, and German, Danish and Norwegian I had to double check to make sure all of the words I used were in the same language. I just noticed that the photo count on the new web site has grown. I must admit opening the photo page on your web site is very similar to opening Christmas presents when I was little. What a treat you have provided us all with. I just opened the new photos and I was greeted with a beautiful picture of our Sister Asp and her two companions. As a little boy I received a set of miniature books by Selma Lagerlöf written in Swedish in a tiny wooden bookshelf. Through all my Christmases this little set of books has been my most memorable Christmas gift… getting to see our Sister Asp and knowing she is doing well after her volleyball mishap now constitutes my most memorable gift. Thank you for sacrificing your precious free time to create this wonderful gift for us all. The Asp Family…Donald, Kelli, Anna, Sarah, and Merrill

THANKS!!!!
Thank you so much for creating this website! My brother is in district 28 D, and we're still figuring out the best way to communicate with him. In the meantime, it's so exciting to see pictures of the CTM and get a glimpse into missionary life. Keep up the great work! Oh, and if you happen to see Elder Rymer, give him a hug or a handshake for us!

Thank You!
Thanks so much for making this web site. My son is Elder Evan Walker. He is in district 28c. The photo was great!

Elder Ren French
Our hearts were filled with joy as we saw the picture of our son Elder French with Elder Sorenson. Thanks so much for your effort to make us a part of the CTM training experience. We could see that everyone was filled with the spirit. Thanks again. Ren & Alecia French

Thanks
Dear Sister Depaula, THANK YOU for your pictures and newsletter, we love being able to read the news of the CTM and to see pictures too. It really helps us feel close to our Son Elder Tyler Burton district 29D. Bless you.

Getting to know the CTM
Thank you so much for taking time to make the families of the missionaries feel part of the training center experience! We enjoyed looking for our son Elder Parkes in district 28C.

Thank You!
Thank you for taking time out of your busy schedule to create this website. It was so good to see a picture of my little brother, Elder Jordan Howell, and his district (District 27B). It was also fun to look at the other pictures and get a better feel for what the CTM is like. Thanks again!

Great site!
Thank you Sister Depaula for creating this site- it is fun to see how life is down there. I couldn't find my son or his district in any of the pictures though. He is Elder Ryan Hendricks in District 25c and he arrived on June 16th. He loves it there and he also loves to sing, so I hope he is in a choir there!

couldn't find son
My son, Elder Shane Southwick is also in district 25c. He e-mailed us and said his district was in a picture. I couldn't find it either. This site is great!

Great Site
Thanks so much for taking the time to put this site together. It gives us, at home, a much better feel of missionary life in Brazil. My son, Kade Cox, arrived at the CTM on July 21, 2004. He thought there was a picture of him but I couldn't see it. I'll keep checking to see if new pictures are posted. I printed off all of the newsletters and can't wait to get them all read. Thanks again for this great service.

New Missionary Mom
This has been a delight to browse through and I actually saw my son! We dropped him at the airport just 2 weeks ago and felt so forlorn. Now we can piture him in his acutal surroundings and feel closer to him. I am grateful for all the good people who surround him there at the CTM and now we can put faces to the people we are praying for. More, More, More!!!

Obrigado!
It was so great to see district 26d with my friend Elder Dow in there! It's nice to see the missionaries in their environment. Thank you so much!!! I appreciate all of the work you have put into this!

I am elder Haviland's mom and I couldn't get the pictures to enlarge. I think I saw him in a picture and that was exciting. It is great to know good people like are looking out after these cute missionaries. Thanks so much !!!

THANKS
Sister Depaula Thank you again for your updated photos, we love seeing pictures of the CTM and the missionaries and love your comments, would love to see more pictures of district 29D Bless you

There he is!!
My Elder Carson Close in District 25B sent me this website last week in his email and I finally had time to pull it up and take the time to browse through it. There was a great shout among his four other brothers and I when we found him in his District picture! There he is!! I often wondered what it looked like and what he did in the CTM and now we all know!! Thank you so much for all your hard work in putting together this fabulous website.

THANK YOU! :)
I am thrilled to find (by luck) your site. Our son, Elder Joshua G. Higbee arrived at the CTM today (August 11). This was a wonderful thing to help me today. Thank you so much. I expect to visit often. :)

Thanks
What a joy it is to see my daughter - Sister Campbell - as she is arriving from the airport and again as 32B enjoys some outside time. I'm thrilled that I found your web site and appreciate your time putting it together. We received our first email today and Sister Campbell has great things to say about you. Thanks again...

Thank you for sharing Brazil with us!
Our son Elder Eric Wayne Crowther is the first missionary we have sent off. We have enjoyed this site and really enjoyed seeing his picture with his District. We feel he is in good hands and will be helped with the transition. Thank you for sharing Brazil with us. We are most fortunate to have a son in the mission field and are very happy that he is in Brazil. Keep up the good work. Our prayers are with you that the gospel can be spread to the people there.

Thank you!
My son, Elder Michael Jordan Lamkin, arrived at the CTM August 4th and is in District 32C. I was told about your website by an ex-missionary who served in Brazil and was anxiously awaiting Jordan's picture. Even though I knew he had arrived safely and I received my first email yesterday, it is just so good to actually see his face! Thank you so much! And thank you, too, for all your hard work on my son's behalf!

Dear Sister and Brother de Paul, Thank you so much for putting time and effort into this wonderful website! What a fun surprise to see many of my friends in pictures. It is great to see where these missionaries really live and what they do. Your efforts are appreciated-- thank you so much!

Thank you!
We loved seeing our son, Elder Jeff Anderson, of district 32D in computer lab. Your web site is a wonderful thing for all of us at home. Now we have a small glimpse of life at the CTM. Many thanks for all your time and effort!

Thank you
My son, Jeffrey Downs, just arrived at the CTM on August 5 and we were so excited to see his picture up on your website. It gave me a lot of comfort to see him smiling and happy. Thank you! Denine Downs Elder Jeffrey Downs, Brazil Belem Mission, August 2006 Elder Matthew Downs, Belgium Brussels/Netherlands Mission, July 2005

It's been 13 years since I served in Brasil. It's great to read and see that others have fallen in love with the people and country just as I did! What a great site!

What a great blessing
Sister DePaula, What a great blessing your seb site is. Thank you so much for all the time and energy you put into this. Our son, Tyson Olson, is in District 28A and like others I have read, had a little trouble communicating with him. It was such a relief to go to your web site and be able to see him and the CTM. You have made us feel very much a part of his experience there. Keep up the great work and if you see Tyson, have him give you a hug or handshake from a very grateful mom!!! It is fun to see all of the missionaries there and especially District 28A.

Thank you, and a sad good-bye to the CTM
Sister de Paula: Thank you so much for your wonderful web site. Today being traveling day for districts 25, I can imagine our Sister Asp was very excited, especially getting the great news that her knee was healed enough to allow her to travel today on her original date. Wonderful news indeed, she is getting better, and she is able to move into the field. We will dearly miss knowing that you are close at hand. A new chapter opens with adventures and growth to be experienced. Again, be assured that your diligent service at the CTM is greatly appreciated. We will hold you all in our prayers as you continue to work with those many wonderful missionaries. Thank You, Brother Asp

thank you for sharing
My dear friend, It is so awesome to hear from you and to to all your good works. I bet every one of those missionaries would not miss the choir probable for all the fun they receive from you and your wonderful personality. Tell them I know because I grew up with you and you have always been such a source of happiness and laughs whenever we were together. You would always make me forget all my cares and just enjoy life and the association that I have always had with you. Maybe we just did not make the effort to do it enough. You are Lynn look as though you are doing well and are enjoying the service of missionary work.. I am getting back into lessons and will begin with lessons the 6th of September. Scott was home for a two week furlough and Greg and his family was here and we were all together for two days, before Scott had to return to Irag. He looks so good and has made a 180o turnaround since his service in the war. It has my heart so sad for all the devastation and distruction of the country were he is stationed. he says as he gives little children stuffed animals or even a bottle of water, they will take of running as if they are stealing it from him but they do not realize that he is giving these items to them. His heart breaks for those children and when he is out among them he is always giving them something. He still feels like this is his mission and in some small way he is preparing them to some day receive the gospel. I have been makeing neck and helmet coolers for the soldiers as the heat in Taelie get between 120 - 135o in a day and cools off to about 75o-80o in the evening. He said these coolers have been a life safer for himself and his fellow soldier in his area. Other wise J.H. and I are doing good trying to do what we can each day to serve others in our neighborhood and in out ward. We are going on a trek with members of our ward. We are going to Martin's Cove. It should be quite an experience. I'll let you know if we make it. Love you and pray for you and Lynn and for you safety and for all the missionaries. Thanks againg for sharing the pictures. They were great lOVE ELAINE

Sister Sharon Depaula-former Alpine bowling friend
My son Elder Alex Hamilton is district 29-a. Headed to rio north. I was just diagnosed with breast cancer and think he could use a friendly voice from home.Your web site was a ray of sunshine this morning when I found it, after he sent it in a letter. Thanks for all you do for the rest of us. Your site is great, maybe I will become more computer literate by the time his mission is over. His sister is on her way to Ecuador Quito in about two weeks. I think I may have bowled with Lousie Wilcox and Lynda Barney when you were bowling. Thanks for all you do for the rest of us and our families.Love, Kelly and Randy Hamilton

long time ago
Dear sister de Paula! Thank you so much for the site. I have served in Brazil 12 years a go. I was in the old CTM by the Temple. The new one is so nice. What a great blessing to serve in Brasil and to be in the service of the Lord. Love Carmen

With our family's sincerest thanks!!
We would just like to thank you so much for your web-site and the work to keep it current. Our son Tyler Justesen, is in District #30-C. Every letter begins with "Please take pictures!!" What a treat to find not one, but three pictures of Tyler with his district. He is so happy and thrilled to be in Brazil. It was wonderful to see the young men he is working with, along with the surroundings, the CTM, and other important pictures and information. From your example, my husband and I know what to do when we are serving a mission or two. These pictures and information are like gold to us. We feel a connection with the CTM and our son through this web-site. Thank you again, and may the Lord bless you in all your endeavors. Sincerely, The Justesen Family

THANKS
THANKS SO MUCH FOR THE PICTURES OF ALL THE MISSIONARIES. MY OLDEST SON, ELDER BRODY FLINT ARRIVED AT THE CTM ON AUGUST 18TH. MY STEPSON, ELDER RYAN COMBE, IS ALSO SERVING IN THE CURITIBA BRAZIL MISSION. HE WAS IN SAO PAULO RECENTLY FOR SOME MEDICAL TESTS AND WAS ABLE TO SEE ELDER FLINT AT THE CTM. IF YOU SEE THEM GIVE THEM BOTH HUGS FROM ME. IT IS NICE TO SEE ELDER FLINT HAPPY AND SMILING IN THE PICTURES. THANKS FOR TAKING CARE OF THEM AND LOVING ALL OF THEM.

Heartfelt Thanks
Thank you, thank you, Sister dePaula for letting us see what our much loved and much missed missionaries see every day. Your pictures are worth "more than a thousand words." To see our son Elder Matt Chambers (District 32-A, Belem) with his companions was truly wonderful. With the slow mail, these are the first pictures we have to enjoy, and they tell great stories about what is happening at the CTM. I hope you will be able to continue posting--you have our heartful thanks for your efforts. Thanks for letting them know how important they are to the folks back home.

Great to see our son!
We were so excited to see this site last night and then to see a picture of our son, Elder Stephens in district 34-C. We called family and friends to have them visit the site. We are so proud of him and each missionary for their willingness to serve the Lord. We pray for each of you. If anyone at the CTM sees this comment, tell Elder Stephens to go over to that e-mail cafe across the street and send me an e-mail. Jeff Stephens

Thanks!
Sister de Paula: Thank you for sharing the CTM with the family of Elder Brent Lewis (29C). We appreciate you taking the time and making the effort. Regards, Jerry Lewis

A Mom's Heartfelt Thank You!!
Sister de Paula, Your site has made it possible for me to put faces and places with the descriptions I receive from my son in his letters. I found my son's picture (Brad Young) in District 32C. What a thrill it was to see him so happy surrounded by his fellow missionaries in the district. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for the time and hard work you have put into this website. Love, Connie Young

great to see so many happy faces
thanks so much for starting this site. I'm excited to see my son's pictures when they are posted. Elder kyle kunde, would have arrived Sept. 1st. It has been a treat to see these happy young men hard at work and enjoying themselves, and to see things in your part of the world. thanks again you're doing a great job.

Thanks
Thank you for updating your album with pictures of the missionaries. It was a thrill to see three pictures that included our son, Elder Demary, including his getting on or off the bus after arriving in Sao Paulo. This is the first we've "seen" of him in seven week. Thanks again.

More Pictures!
Your website is very fun to look at. Thanks for doing it. Please, more pictures of Elder Markham! If you can't do that, then I understand. :) Thank you!

Where's District 31-A?
Have really enjoyed checking in on your site since our son, Elder Garrett Bull - District 31- A, informed us of the site. However, unless I missed it, I have not seen any fotos of that District. They depart this coming Tuesday, September 28, 2004 for "Interlagos" and I know his Mom and I (I'm Dad)would love to see a foto of the group or even Elder Bull before they leave or even after would be great. Love what you are doing and how much you care - Thanks for everything - The Bulls (Michael & Judy - St. George, Utah) 22 Sep 2004

Giant Thanks!
Thank you SO very much for this website. Our son and brother (Elder Mike Robinson) arrived on the 22nd of September and I can't wait to see his picture at some point on this site. We are a rather curious family when it comes to where our missionaries are serving (Mike is our 3rd). We love to see their environment as well as the people surrounding them, and this is great for us. I'm sure I will be watching this site a lot and really appreciate your efforts with this. Let me know if I can send anything your way to help out - expecially treats for the "kids". THE GOSPEL'S TRUE! Thanks again! Kari

THANKS!!
Thank you for taking the time to care for the missionaries there at the CTM in Brazil. We were so delighted to learn about your site from Robert's (Elder Bowles - district 35A -- the CTM handicapped) last letter. Please let us know if there is anything we can do to help. It was comforting to see photos of the CTM and the area. May the Lord continue to bless you for your great service.

THAT'S OUR SON!!!
Dear Sister de Paula, We were so excited to find out about this web site! Our son (Elder Lance C. Nielsen 39B) arrived at the CTM on 9/22/04 and we have been so anxcious to hear from him. It was such a thrill to see a picture of him and the other missionaries he is with. He looks GREAT! Hug him and squeeze him and kiss his whole face. (funny saying we have). I am wondering if Gary Kay is a friend of yours. My parents Joy/Cal Reynolds serve with him at the Conference Center and he told them that he was going to Brazil to visit some good friends of his at the Sao Paulo MTC. Thank you for all that you are doing for our kids. It was awesome to get to see a little of how things look down there at the CTM. If you see him tell him we love him!

Thank You!!!
Thanks so much for the Web-site!! My son is in District 39A and it was great to find him and see where he lives and what he's doing.. And also to see the beautiful pictures of Brazil. Our prayers go out to you all, and our thanks for taking care of not only my son (Elder Joshua Harkness) but all the special missionaries:-)

Que vista linda!
What joy to go inside the Sao Paulo CTM! What comfort to see our son Elder Neal Bertelsen in his first missionary home! Such insight to see the faces of his companions in the CTM in their daily activites. As parents of a new Elder missionary, thank you with all our hearts for creating this website for us to keep in touch with our son. It is so much more than we could have hoped for. Your newsletters also increased our understanding. God bless you, Brother and Sister DePaula, for sharing this gift of yourselves with us, for helping us peek into our son's new life service. Love, Brother and Sister Bertelsen

THANKS
Thanks for taking time to take and post pictures of the missionaries in the MTC. As a mother I really appreciate knowing that my son is happy and doing well. It makes him seem a little closer and I hve printed several pictures to go in his scrapbook. THANKS!

Life is Good!
It was a very emotional time for our family to send youngest brother and Best Uncle (Spencer Bryan Dist 40 B) to Brazil on Sept. 28th. Luckily and by accident we met another missionary's family (Tyson Olsen's from Salt Lake) a week before and they gave us this web address! It was so great to see where he was going and what he would be doing ahead of time. We send our heartfelt Thanks to you for all of your time and efforts on behalf of so many worthy young men and women. I hope you don't mind, but I work at Deseret Book at the ZCMI Center in Downtown Salt Lake and when I meet families sending kids or grandkids to Brazil I give them this site address. It has helped our family so much and I want to do the same for others!! Thanks for the photo of Dist. 40 B!! Our son is in the yellow tie and he leaves for Santa Maria in November. Life is Good and we are all blessed by you!!

A Great Big Thank You
I just want to thank you sooo much for sharing with us this website. I feel much closer to my son since he left our home in South Jordan, Utah. Brazil is so far away. He looks well adjusted with his new friends in District 39B. I can't believe that he is in a choir. He hates singing?!/@ Elder Jarom Monson is our first to go on a mission and we feel blessed by his willingness to serve The Lord, everyday. Thank you for watching over our young men and women and blessing their lives. Many thanks for sharing with us a glimpse of what they are experiencing and a little bit of Brazil and their surroundings. Please give him our love. Love, Brother & Sister Monson

Thank You Sister DePaula
I just want to thank you Sister DePaula for making these websites there in Brazil. It's been such a relief to see my son on a couple of pictures posted. Can you say over-protective mother? But seeing that he's still upright is wonderful. Thank you a million times.

How to print the photos that we view?
Thank you so much for having this web site!! it is great to see our son Elder Shayne Smith. Is there a way to print the photos after we clik on them to enlarge them. There isn't an icon above, so that we can print the enlarge photo, at least not that I know of. It would be great to put thses photos in his Missionary Memory Book. Thanks again, Jeanie Kohntopp

I love my missionary
Our Family loves to see Elder Chris Rogers 39B in the photos. He writes home to say that he loves Brazil, and loves the people.Thank You! love,The Rogers Family

Thank you so much for the pictures!
Bro. & Sis. DePaula, Thank you so much for the pictures on this website! I am the mom of one of the missionaries there in Brazil, he is in District 39A his name is Elder Robert Hansen. Anyway, he is the first missionary from our family to go out so this is really new to us and seeing the pictures and seeing him smile makes it sooo much easier for all of us! Thank you again!! Looking at the pictures we can feel such a wonderful spirit there and it gives us great comfort and excitement!! Good luck on the rest of your mission and thank you for serving our Saviour in this way, you are all in our prayers! Sister Chris Hansen :-)

Many Thanks
It was so great to see a picture of our son Elder clayton Phillipp Dist#42B. He is the 1st in our family to go on a mission. He really is there. Thank you for your service.

Great site!
My son just left 2 days ago and I can't wait to see his smiling face on your site. What a great service to us to be able to see the CTM and the wonderful people associated with it. Thank you for your time and effort in service to the Lord and to us!

What an awesome site!
Thank you so much for your efforts in putting this web site together for us. It is so nice for those of us at home to see pictures of our missionaries and the CTM. It makes us feel so much closer to them. Our son is Elder Daniel Matthew King in District 40D. Thanks again!

Thanks for the WebSite
We have enjoyed touring the Brazil CTM. Our missionary is Elder Nathan Taylor, ready to go out to the mission field now, Sao Paulo North. Nathan's brother Elder John Taylor has been in Brazil, in the Campinas mission, for eighteen months now. We didn't know about this website when John was in the CTM. Thanks for helping us to feel part of the mission. Sincerely, Janet and Les Taylor.

What a Feast!
We happened upon your website by the referral of a friend. I was eagerly looking at the pictures of the CTM and reading some of your newsletters, enjoying them immensely but supposing none of them to be current. You can imagine my surprise when I saw my son (who arrived the end of October) with district 44A! I was overwhelmed with emotion. In addition, Thanksgiving has just passed and I wondered how Jeff would have spent his first holiday away from home and family. When I saw the pictures of Thanksgiving Day at the CTM, only a few days old, I knew he was more than fine. What a feast! I will be sure to encourage his participation in the choir so that the next time you post choir participants, I can see him there, also. Thank you for your time spent on this website and your service to us. I means more than words can adequately convey.

Thanks and keep the site going
Thank you so much for the wonderful site. Our son Elder Jeffry Bruce arrived on November 24th, 2004 and our last contact was at the airport in Madison, Wisconsin. We just received his letter and my wife went to this site and was so happy when she saw him in the language center and then again in the food line on Thanksgiving day. I was out of town on business and called with the great news. I am just seeing it for the first time and it sure brings back a flood of memories!!! Thanks for the great site, keep up the good work and let us know what we can do to help keep it going!!!

Thank You
Thank you SO much for this web site and especially all the photos. My son has left the MTC/CTM (Nov 21) but seeing him in your "choir" photos has been a WONDERFUL treat. Mike is our 3rd missionary and the first in a mail challenged country - so your site has laid a great foundation for us to understand and become familiar with Brazil. Again thank you so much. THE GOSPEL'S TRUE!!! Kari

Quite a surprise!
Our family just wanted to thank you for the wonderful pictures and insight into the world of the CTM. Our son (and brother), Elder Samuel Croft in #45A, looks like he's being well taken care of. The choir pictures were the first ones we saw of him since he left on Nov. 3rd. Thank you so much and take care!

thanx
wonderful job!!! I just wish I had found it sooner. my son was there in July 2003 & now serves in the Sao Paulo South mission. we will be coming to pick him up next july!

Elder Kenneth (Kenny) Achter has entered Brazil
Hi I have sent you my first born to spread the good news of the Lord to the wonderful brothers and sisters of Brazil. Please find him and put his picture up so I can know he is well. I know he is, but it is always nice to see his smiling face. He has prepared all his life to be a great missionary. (I am so humble) I know that God loves him and will protect him. Love Dad (Mark Achter)

Thanks and Merry Christmas
Sis. Depaula, thanks so much for looking into the letter situation. We are glad to hear that they are finally getting there. Thanks for the wonderful pictures and we wish everyone at the CTM a very Merry Christmas. We are truly blessed to have a son in the mission field, but more blessed to have wonderful people like yourselves and the CTM staff caring for our son and the other missionaries!!! God bless you all.

Thank You
Thanks so much for the website and all the photos. I have been so worried about my son Dane arriving there and had no confirmation from anyone that he had arrived safely. On Christmas day I went to this website and there was a picture of him with the other missionaries. You made our Christmas a great one. The whole family was so happy to see his picture. Thanks so much!

THANK YOU!
Our daughter, Sister Rachel Dornbush, sent a tape home for Christmas and on it she just raved about you. You have been a wonderful influence on her both musically and spiritually! She told us so many stories about you and told us how supportive you are to the missionaries in the CTM. We are thankful to you for that and also for connecting us to our daughter through your website and the wonderful pictures you share. We can not thank you enough! Have a Wonderful New Year! Love, Sister Cheri Dornbush

Thanks for the pictures
What a wonderful surprise to see our son Miles Peshlakai picture posted on your website. This is our first view of him at the MTC. We are a whole 19 days into the mission and this picture gave us such joy. Thanks for your efforts. If you have the time take a look at www.missionaryworld.com/just_do_it You will see the website we built for friends and family to keep updated. Thanks again

Thank you very much!
Just wanted to thank you for this awesome sight. I wish all missions would have similar sites. We sent our son to Brazil, to arrive Dec. 29th (Elder Thomas Hebdon). Thanks for the call to tell us he had arrived, and thanks for the photo on site - he was in the first photo there, it was awesome to see. We have a son in San Diego Mission and wish we could find a photo of him somewhere. I guess we won't find many more of THomas either, but thanks for what we did find. Elaine

Hope this site continues
What a great service. My missionary doesn't get to Brazil until 2-16. I've been looking at this site and I'm getting very excited. I can't wait for him to start his mission. And I can't wait to see him in his picture with his district. Thank you for doing this. I hope it continues on even after your call comes to an end. It is a great service.

Thank you!
A big thank you for letting us experience the CTM through your eyes. Our son, Elder Pulsipher just arrived on January 5, 2005 and he looks great! Thanks again for all of the pictures.

What a great service!
Being a missionary mom is a whole new, not entirely pleasant experience for me, especially after the rocky start our son, Elder Andrew Stong (District 1A) got with cancelled flights, lost luggage, etc. I've been feeling kind of lost the last two weeks. But let me tell you, technology makes all the difference. Receiving current information through e-mail really helps to sooth my mind. After the disaster at the airport, I spent the next few days worrying about how he was faring. But when I received his first e-mail a week ago, I knew I could stop worrying. He positively raved about how wonderful everyone is, and that's really not like him! Three days later we got pictures e-mailed from another missionary couple and now today Andrew told me about your wonderful website. I've spent the last two hours reading every single word, and all I can say is Wow! Thank you so-o-o much. The Lord will surely bless you for all the comfort you're bringing to worried parents. Your pictures are wonderful! Keep up the good work.

Soaked it up.
Loved visiting the site. It was great to view pictures and info about the CTM and area. Elder Dallin Wilson is our 6th and last child, and 5th and last son to serve a mission. He arrived at the CTM on Jan 5th. We are thrilled to have him there. Our sons have gone many directions. Spain, Canada, Taiwan, Mexico and now Brazil. Sister Wilson especially loved seeing Elder Wilson's picture with his new group. We'll Keep praying for you! Love ! Bro. & Sis. Wilson (St. George, Utah)

Thank YOu!
I wanted to thank you for your web site. Like all the previous comments, it was wonderful to see the picture of my son, Tyler Whittingham, on your web site. I was given the web site address from a friend in my ward who has here sister in the CTM. It is wonderful to get an idea of what the CTM looks like, for when we imagine our missionary doing various things. Thank your for your web site and kindness to the missionaries.

Loved your web site
Dear Brother and Sister DePaula, Thank you for the pictures of the CTM, missionaries, food, everything! Our son, Elder Ryan Biggs, arrived at the CTM on January 26, 2005. It was heart warming to see where he is, what he is eating, and all the other missionaries. Please tell him hello if you see him from him mom, dad, and 6 siblings. We love him and are proud of him. Thank you for your service. keith and ruth biggs

Thanks!
We received this web address from our son just after our grandson, Ryan Biggs, entered the CTM. Loved the picture and were excited to see him in his district photo. Thank you so much for your efforts! Sylvia and Jack Biggs

thanks
Thanks to whomever took the picture of our son who arrived at the CTM on January 26. It was good to see his face and to have that confirmation that he is where he is supposed to be.

Now it feels real...
Hello, Sis. DePaula -- Thank you for the beautiful picture of District 4B. There is our son Elder David Packard at the top left. If you haven't recruited his tenor voice for the CTM choir yet, you're missing a treat! Oh, I wish I could be there to hear a 180-voice male choir! What a lucky mission assignment for you! Thanks again. We love what you do with the website.

Oops....
I just realized that all of those 180 voices aren't males, are they? We undoubtedly have some beautiful sisters' voices in there as well. What a treat for you to lead such a choir! Your years in the Mormon Tabernacle Choir couldn't have been better than this, could they?? :) Thanks again.

Great website!
Thanks for all the information you have posted, but most of all for the pictures. It was so wonderful to see the picture of our son, Elder Gardner, district 4C, last weekend! His picture just filled our hearts! We are greatful for your thoughtfulness, as parents we thank you!

Many Thanks!
I just found your site! - We sent my nephew off today. He should be arriving in Sao Paulo in the morning. I hope to see pictures of Elder Mike Simmons soon!

My son is in your hands Today
I love your website, My son Elder Taylor Carlson should have arrived this morning. Elder Carlsons best friend Elder Mat Spreng Arrived December 28th, I am their Bishop And Life right now is as good as it gets. Please wish them both well. Thanks for the insite into the CTM.

Thank-you!
As I sit here, with tears streaming down my face, I want to thank you for bringing me a little closer to my son, Elder Matthew Spreng. I was able to see his temporary new home and some of his new surroundings and most surprising and exciting, a picture of him with his district after arriving in Sao Paulo on December 28, 2004! It was awesome to see! But what really touched me were the journal entries. There were such tender comments made about the new missionaires and some of the many problems you have encountered and helped them with and the sweetness of your spirit as you wrote about trying to match letters from home to their recipients and said "But this I know, every piece of mail is treated as if it were a letter to my own child." If you are this concerned about their mail, I know you taking extra special care of them, one of which is my precious son. Thank you, again! Janice Spreng

Thanks
We have a son that just arrived at the MTC on January 25th. We were so anxious to find out anything about him there and then we find the picture of him arriving and all the information about the MTC. Your efforts in putting this website together and keeping it current is so appreciated. We immediatly have a picture in mind of where he is and what he is doing. It is so comforting to see the beautiful MTC building, city around it and county of Brazil. Thank you again so much. If you happen to see him in the hall way say Ola to him for us - his name is Elder Spencer Juston Smith.

Sister DePaula, You work miracles!
We love your website! We check it everyday and we are so thrilled to see our son Elder Christopher W. Gardner's picture in it and to see him participating in the choir. I can feel his sweet spirit through his happy face and the faces of his district Elders (4C). What a happy group! I can tell they enjoy each others company! We love the work you do, leading them in the choir and keeping this website updated with these wonderful pictures! Our hearts are full of joy! We love our son and are so proud of him, thanks for loving the missionaries and making their experience in the MTC a great one!

thats awsome!
My dad served in the Brazil mission about twenty years ago, I am so happy to see how this paricular mission firld has grown. I mean, back then there wasn't even a MTC in Brazil! I'm so glas there are so many people willing to do the Lord's work where ever they are called. I am also very glad that people take the time to make this website so all the loved ones at home can take a peek at what is happening. Thank you. I've a friend, Elder Tyler Miller in 4B, serving his mission there. Im glad to know he is surrounded by a spiritual and fun filled atmosphere, that's awsome!

Thank you
Thank you for your wonderful website. Our family and especially me, a mom, were so exciteded to find it on the internet. Elder Charles Stephens Fish is my son , and seeing pictures of him and where he is and those he is with means alot. He is well loved

thanks
Our son was just called to the Santa Maria Brazil mission and we are looking for info about his mission. I haven't found much, but really enjoyed the information and pictures on your site. they helped! It's a little scary sending a son all the way to Brazil without the MTC stop in Provo, but your MTC pictures are reasuring.

Choir of Angels
Our family thanks you for the time and effort you put into this website. Elder Crager (District 4C) is our first son to go on a mission and the spirit that has come into our home is wonderful! We check this website frequently and when Steve's brothers see bits of the adventure he is having, they are more committed to serving a mission. Elder Crager has never been in a choir before and it is great how frequently District 4C gets their pictures on the website! One of our extended family members who isn't LDS saw a picture of District 4C and wanted to know why Mormon elders are always so good-looking. We told her it was the clean living;but we know it's because they have taken two years of their lives to be ministering angels! Thank you again for your work on the website and with the choir! The Cragers

Brazil here i come
thanks for the website. its neat for me to come on here and get a little preview of the ctm. I'll fly out on june 1st and I'm very excited to serve

Great Site!
It is so fun to see the CTM. We were so surprised to find a picture of our son, Elder Eddington with his district doing service. Wow, that sounded wrong! It was the picture of his smiling face that was the surprise, not that he was doing service. Thanks alot. Our family loved the view of the CTM.

What Fun!
It is so great to sign on to a web site and see pictures of our son, Elder Kyle Bodily, District 2C. He loves the MTC and the choir! It is great for our family to see the MTC and get information about his current home. Thanks so much!

district # for arrivals
Our son is currently serving in the CTM,(4C). His good friend arrived 3/9 in Sao Paulo. What district # will he be assigned...is it already #10? We love the website and visit it several times a day hoping for any new details from your comments, looking for any new pictures. Thank you for all you do and for the comfort it brings to see them all well. Our missionary is loving the CTM. He's missing the pizza. Does that have anything to do with the couple that just left? Hope this finds you, and all those who serve with you healthy and happy. Ruth Biggs

Mother of Missionary
Our daughter, Sister Kathryn (Katy) Jensen, just arrived last week in Sao Paulo. How happy we were to find her on your wonderful website! Thank you for sharing your photos with us all, and may you be blessed in all your efforts.

Thank You
We love your website and appreciate the time and effort you give to make our missionaries feel comfortable. Thanks for the picture of District 11A which included our son Elder George A Bock III The newsletter really helps us get a feel of missionary life and the area around Sao Paulo. Thanks, George and Kerry Bock

Thank You!
Dear Sister, Thank you so much for taking the time to create and maintain this web site. Our son, David Hawkins, just received his call to the Brazil Brasilia Mission. He is to report to the CTM on June 29, 2005. We are all very excited. It has been so helpful to visit your site and learn more about the Brazil CTM. I'm just sorry he will arrive after you leave! Best wishes for your surgeries. love, Lyn, Jack, and David Hawkins (Reno, NV)

Thank you!!!
Bro. & Sis de Paula, Thank you so much for your website. I spent some time reading your newsletters about the CTM. They are wonderful and full of information about where my son, Elder Scott Elison, is spending his time these days. You cannot know how wonderful I felt to see his picture in the group of "two days old" missionaries in group 12D. I never thought I would see his face looking at me on a day when I have had a hard time. I feel so good to know that he has wonderful people as yourselves there to watch over him. Thank you again for your beautiful service to our young missionaries. Our prayers will be with you and family and with you when you have your surgery. Craig and Louise Elison

Thank you Sister DePaula
Dear Sister DePaula, I just want to thank you for your wonderful service in the MTC, for getting the missionaries to participate in the choir, for the website and over all for loving and caring for the missionaries. My son Elder Christopher W. Gardner just left the MTC a few days ago and I will miss not seeing his pictures in the website. I know he is well prepare and will do a great service as a missionary, he is been allready bless with a wonderfull mission president. May you continue to bless the lives of so many missionaries, and again Sister DePaula, thank you for making the last two months such a wonderfull experience for our son and for us! We love you!

Many thanks, My son taught in Portuguese today.
I would like to make a final thank you for all of your fine efforts to teach a new language to our son. He actually taught a gospel lesson today and it was understood, a miracle after just 8 weeks. Thank all for the many loving hands and faithful hearts that spent many hours teaching and inspiring my son and countless other "Elders and Sisters" to learn a new language and to be taught by the spirit. He is off to is area but I'm sure he will always look back with a grateful heart the things he experienced int the Brazil CTM. Thanks Again Clay and Jeanie Carlson

Thanks for your website
We just sent our son, Elder Cassidy Carter to the MTC yesterday. I am so grateful to be able to see where he is going to be for the next two months. I stayed up last night to read all your newsletters. I am filled with so much joy (and a little sadness) to see our oldest son leave on his mission. I hope you can get the chance to really get to know him. He is awesome! I hope that a website will still be available after your mission is completed. It has eased alot of fear and questions that I have. Thanks so much for your time and effort on this website. Sincerely Lisa Carter

Thank you for your wonderful website
Our son, just received his call to the Rio de Janiero Mission, on April 13. The Missionary Mom's International Website recommended us to look at your site. So we did and it gave us so much peace seeing what happens at the MTC Brazil location. I'm sorry that you are leaving in a few days but you have given such great service. Thank you for your hard work. I hope that those replacing you will host a similar site so that Brazil doesn't seem to far away for those of us who are in other places in the world. I hope you have a great reunion with you family and friends in Utah.

Thanks and Help
Dear Bro. and Sis. Depaula; Thanks for your mission and Web site. Our twins are now out of the Center but we know they had awonderful experience thanks inpart to your mission. They and we will always remember it. As a side note. One son's trainer is Brazilian and feels that our son should break the rules and get money out of the bank for extras ie pizza and stuff. He told my son he cant wait for transfers so he can get an american who will do it. Not all Americans have an endless supply of cash. A sad beginning in the field. maybe a stronger review for the Brazilians and americans could be taught at the Center. Much Love for all you do. God bless and good luck in the future

would you speak to prospective sr. couples?
Dear Bro. & Sis. de Paula: Just a quick note to say how much I have enjoyed reading your website. Did you ever know Valerio Kikuchi? He served as a counselor in the MTC, but I'm not sure exactly when that was. He was one of my first zone leaders in Portugal when we served as missionaries. Or perhaps you know Milton da Rocha Camargo, who I believe also served as a counselor, and was called to be an area authority seventy at the most recent general conference. We served as companions in Porto, in the north of Portugal. Anyway, back to my question. Would you be available to speak to prospective sr. couples? I just thought that hearing your mission experiences might be just the right thing for someone thinking of missionary service. Let me know back if you would. P.S. my son served in the Sao Paulo East mission from 1999 to 2001 and we did come to pick him up. It was fun to read that we have visited some of the same places, i.e. Guaruja, Santos, Iguacu Falls, Curitiba, Rio, Campos do Jordao, etc. My son, Jeremy Leavitt had a companion from Curitiba named Toporoski (his dad served with me in Portugal) maybe Bro. de Paula knows the family? I hope that you can respond or maybe even call me. My home # is (801) 254-5047 in South Jordan or just e-mail me back. Sorry to leave such a long note, but I would be pleased to speak with you. Thank you, Jeff Leavitt Missao Portugal Lisboa 1977-79

Thank you!
Although you have returned from your time in Sao Paulo, I have really enjoyed navigating your site. My first missionary son, James, will be reporting to Sao Paulo on July 27, 2005.( He will be serving in Brazil Porto Alegre North. He is 21 and very excited to serve. It was a comfort to see photos of the CTM and the missionaries. Thank you.

CTM
Oi, Amigos, Obrigado, por este web site. I have never met you but you seem like friends when I read about your missionary experiences at the CTM. I cannot say that you replaced us since it seems you contributed so much to the MTC that we could not furnish, so it was more than a replacement. At least, what you furnished, was not what we could furnish, e.g., the music, and the ability to speak the language fluently, in the case of Elder de Paula. It refreshed all of our memories to read about your experiences and associations with those whom we loved so much. I laughed when I read your description of our very small apartment. I shared your feelings when you described associations with our friends, American and brasileiro. Nos amos brasileiros. Com Amor, Leon Horman
